There is a moment when the doors open, the music swells, and every eye turns toward the kallah. She pauses for just an instant before taking her first step. Behind her is everything she has known. Before her is everything she is about to become.

For that one beautiful moment, nothing exists except Pure Joy.

Yet for too many kallahs, the promise of that moment is weighed down by weeks, sometimes months, of quiet worry. Worry about whether they’ll have what they need to begin married life. Worry about opening the door to an empty apartment.Worry that financial hardship will cast a shadow over what should be life’s happiest beginning.

That is the burden Ten Yad was created to lift.

With sensitivity and dignity, Ten Yad ensures that when a kallah walks toward her chuppah, she does so with Pure Joy and the reassurance that Klal Yisroel stands behind her simchah.

Every year, more than 1,300 kallahs receive meaningful support from Ten Yad—from top-of-the line household items—bedding, kitchenware, and a beautiful sheitel—to our exclusive coture gown department— providing the practical support they need to begin married life with confidence and security.

It is this mission—to stand beside every kallah and help ease the burdens of beginning a new home—that brings us together each year.

Beneath the lights of the Brooklyn Armory, we renew our commitment to ensuring that every kallah arrives at her wedding day with a full heart and an unburdened spirit, so that when the doors open and she takes that first step, nothing exists except Pure Joy.
